A second video has been released, in which our new superheroine from Linz, Austria, is seen as she destroys another part of the town. Originally MISS MAGNETIQ wanted to free the town from harmful vibrations together with her companions, called Nickel, Cobalt and Mangan. But than again everything goes wrong.

In a reaction MISS MAGNETIQ says: “It’s pathetic! Actually I just want to help this town but than there is always something very wrong in it — maybe it’s the dog.”

Linz is diverse. People with nearly 150 different nations are living here, significantly more than 100 languages are spoken.

MISS MAGNETIQ uses the connecting powers of magnetism for an intercultural intervention. The magnetic force of attracting unlikely magnetic poles are used to connect origins of language. In a poster series MISS MAGNETIQ is showing, how s_he can be the linking element between two different languages.

And to make up some of the damage which has already been done by MISS MAGNETIQ in Linz (take a look at the first part of the first episode under http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ddZGIBdcMZ8), s_he will be performing live at the “Day of Languages” on Saturday, September 27th on the Landstraße in Linz. While her_his companions Nickel, Kobalt and Mangan will mix special cocktails like the Crispy Robin or the red Lakritz and try to learn the magnetic language to the passers-by, MISS MAGNETIQ will appear for an autograph session.

With her magnetic superpowers MISS MAGNETIQ has destroyed half of Linz during her first missions. In a series of YouTube-videos she is seen together with three of her companions, called Nickel, Cobalt and Mangan, as she tries to free the city from harmful vibrations. But than everything went wrong.

In a first reaction MISS MAGNETIQ speaks from a mistake: “I am deeply sorry. I will try to control myself better in future so this won’t happen again. I love Linz but to live within that much steel is really hard for me. How does one say: ‘A sin is the magnet ston’ which brings to us the iron.”

The world needs new heroes. Heroines. Superheroines. Linz too …

Born in Linz she is so manifold and contradictory as a postmodern identity has to be: positive and negative at the same time, hyperphobic, ironic, animal loving, chaotic, aggro and sensitive, magnetizing and always ready not only to attract things but also to kick them away. A superheroine as torn as the city from which she comes. Pure Trash.

As deconstructivist and poststructuralist, MISS MAGNETIQ goes forth with the battle scream “Gender Trouble!” to explore the physical phenomenon of magnetism, theoretically and practically in therefore designed experimental arrangements and in the open orbit.

Do magnetic fields have an influence on cows? Why are the forces of the city guards in Linz so repulsive? How to deal with the esoteric wonders of a free-energy machine? Is it true that the Pöstlingberg is a magnetic hill and a car can go uphill backwards? Why paying attention to the lethal danger of killer-magnets? Is it possible to realize the dream of floating with a simple copper tube and trusting Lenz’s law? Are magnetiq super-powers enough to fight against oversized magnetic putty monsters?

All these questions, and even more, will be answered by MISS MAGNETIQ. In the course of an artistic experimental series, the experiences of MISS MAGNETQ are going to be radiated into Maxwell’s ether.

Once again qujOchÖ unrolls the screen right on time with the beginning of summer, cools the beer, starts the projector and popcorn machine and invites every two weeks to an open air film screening. In the cosy courtyard, accompanied by the Swamp Thing, every second Thursday gems of the cinema can be dived from 21:00 with free admission.

This will be an extraordinary, insane and grotesque evening.

Crank Sturgeon has been active in performance, installation and sound art since the early 1990s. A comical conceptualist, he is something of a misnomer: whether blending pun with the profane or transforming the precious into an oil spill, it is impossible to categorize a Sturgeon performance. Accompanied by ridiculous costuming, pointed instructions and parables (gone awry), and even the occasional dirigible or two, these elements intertwine, changing into space-defying interventions and invariably involving audience participation. One word: Crank!

Frans Höyer exists of Jussi Reittu and Ari Suomalainen from Joenssu, Finland. Their work is all about experimenting and exploring the essence of the sounds of crappy electronics and making some sense about it. Lately Jussi and Ari continued with a consensus of a new vision: more intense expressions, richer frequencies, collaboration of drones and synth squawks and deeper live experiences with experimental video art. The music music sounds like a strange version of Lynchian subsonic wooms with electro flakes and noise crumbles. One word: Finns!

QLF is a casted supergroup from outer space, which was established on the basis of a scientific research on summer hits. The abbreviation QLF means many things, among others it stands for “Q Liberation Front” and “Queens of Low Frequency”. The members of the group are not known to the public, only the main protagonist — a robot without name — is in the spotlight. It is idolised by men and women alike, his dance steps are reckless, breakneck, and sexy at the same time. Many myths surround QLF, both in the studio and in live performances it is supposed to be peculiar. Nothing works without dozens of candy-colored deodorants, numerous umbrellas and Lollipops. Apparently all members are addicts of crystalline methaqualone-desomorphine. The first break-through worldwide success of QLF is entitled “Our Life is Interstellar” and will be published in May 2014 generating a gigantic media interest.

Surprise, surprise! Otto von Schirach is back! And he will open his European Tour in Linz!

Considered to be “one of the most extreme producers in the electronic music scene” (Spex 2008) Otto will present his latest release “Tipo Tropical / La Plancha feat. Silverio” (Monkeytown Records/Rough Trade) which sounds like “Sancho Panza with Goldchains on a beach with lots of girls, dinosaurs and multicolored bubbly in a magnum bottle.”
