Kim Kardashian, Tom Hanks and Taylor Swift swear by this new trend from Linz: Magnetic Cuisine!

This “magnetic kitchen” goes far beyond previous physical and chemical compound experiments in the culinary field. In comparison, molecular kitchens, low-temperature cooking or nano cooking appear to be like first steps with a chemistry kit for children. The magnetic kitchen, for example, is based on the latest scientific knowledge such as high-temperature superconductivity, quantum levitation or diamagnetic effects in nanocarbon tubes. It combines different theories and methods of postmesmerism, real-life superhero reenactment and magic queer metamorphosis. The magnetic kitchen was developed by the Linz superheroine Miss Magnetiq (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Real-life_superhero#Austria). Together with her faithful assistants Nickel, Cobalt and Manganese, she has been liberating the steel city of Linz and the whole world from harmful vibrations with the help of transcardial magnetic stimulation for four years now.

After several months of work and numerous cooking courses at the Ottakring Folk High School in Vienna, a 120-page cookbook with 40 recipes for superheroines is now available. In all recipes, special emphasis is placed on the use of iron-rich foods. Crazy magnetic production methods are used and the secrets of magnetic cuisine are conveyed to the readers step by step. In addition to the recipes in the “Starters”, “Main Dishes”, “Desserts” and “Drinks & Cocktails” categories, the cookbook also contains lovely anecdotes by Miss Magnetiq and her three assistants as well as recipe illustrations by Susanna Flock, Sun Lia Lian Obwegeser, Martin Bruner and Stefan Eibelwimmer.

The cookbook on magnetic cuisine will be published by Verlag Bibliothek der Provinz and will be presented to the public on Saturday, 17 November 2018 at 6 p.m. – with a multi-course menu of food and drinks from the cookbook served by the donauwirtinnen at their inn in Alturfahr. Miss Magnetiq, Nickel, Cobalt and Manganese will read some stories, the illustrated recipes will be shown in original and the evening will be accompanied by music from Monster Magnet, Nine Inch Nails, Die Krupps, Metallica and Iron Maiden.

Vorderstoder ///

After an extended educational leave, attending numerous cooking classes and a stay abroad in Magnetopol, Miss Magnetiq has reappeared on the screen. In her current episode, together with her assistants Nickel, Cobalt and Manganese as well as two cow assistants, she dedicates herself to an important task, namely the research of magnetic cows.

A few years ago, Miss Magnetiq became aware of this research object during her daily lecture of ORF Online articles: “Farmers have known this phenomenon for a long time: Cows like to look in the same direction when grazing. There were many hypotheses to justify this behaviour, including the fact that they turn towards the sun so that as large a part of their body as possible is illuminated. However, this left the question open why the animals also show a clear orientation on cloudy days. Hynek Burda and his colleagues therefore examined another thesis three years ago, namely that cows follow earth magnetism. To prove this, they analysed a total of 308 pictures of pastures on which around 8,500 animals grazed — all taken from the satellite image program Google Earth. The evaluation, which the researchers described as ’statistically significant’, clearly indicated a north-south orientation of the cows”. (ORF Online, 15 November 2011)

In a scientific test series in autumn 2018, Miss Magnetiq tried to change the north-south orientation of a herd of cows on a Vorderstoder Alm in Upper Austria with her superpowers. Without success. Cobalt’s commented on this succinctly: “!gnud oomylwoC !citengam epon oomylwoC”

Deadpool, Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice, Captain America 3, X‑Men: Apocalypse, Suicide Squad, Doctor Strange! There’s no question: 2016 will be the year of superheroes!

But the mother of all superheroine movies is coming to cinemeas with “Miss Magnetiq: Attack of the inexpressible segullserkurkuskrímsliðdýrr”. In a breathtaking mixture of action, horror, science fiction, love and Western film mankind is facing the worst and most inexpressible monster in the history of film.

The critics are already virtually unanimous in singing the praises:

“[…] one of the most magnificent pieces of serious popular entertainment ever to emanate from Hollywood.” (Boxoffice Magazine, Joseph McBride)

“[…] without question one of the most disgusting horror films ever made.” (Clark Collis, Entertainment Weekly)

“[…] a shattering spectacle, one of the truly great cinematic illusions; a monstrous, hideous, thrilling débâcle […]” (Frank S. Nugent, New York Times)

“[…] a cult sci-fi comedy miscast as an elaborate, all-star studio extravaganza.” (Todd McCarthy, Variety)

“Infamous for its shower scene, but immortal for its contribution to the horror genre.” (RottenTomatoes.com)

For some time it seemed that MISS MAGNETIQ, the new superheroine from Linz, had vanished without a trace. Some people say she is still suffering from a fight against a gigantic magnetic monster. But now a third video appeared on YouTube – and again a part of the city is gone. After destroying the local steel plant and the railway bridge this time the town’s landmark, the Grottenbahn at Pöstlingberg, is the scene of the magnetic rescue attempts.

MISS MAGNETIQ feels she has not done anything wrong: “I have tried my best but those exophtalmic dwarfs and rabbits have blown me off-course. Even I am becoming aggro than.”

Linz is diverse. People with nearly 150 different nations are living here, significantly more than 100 languages are spoken.

MISS MAGNETIQ uses the connecting powers of magnetism for an intercultural intervention. The magnetic force of attracting unlikely magnetic poles are used to connect origins of language. In a poster series MISS MAGNETIQ is showing, how s_he can be the linking element between two different languages.

And to make up some of the damage which has already been done by MISS MAGNETIQ in Linz (take a look at the first part of the first episode under http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ddZGIBdcMZ8), s_he will be performing live at the “Day of Languages” on Saturday, September 27th on the Landstraße in Linz. While her_his companions Nickel, Kobalt and Mangan will mix special cocktails like the Crispy Robin or the red Lakritz and try to learn the magnetic language to the passers-by, MISS MAGNETIQ will appear for an autograph session.

In a series of YouTube-videos she is seen together with three of her companions, called Nickel, Cobalt and Mangan, as she tries to free the city from harmful vibrations. But than everything went wrong.

In a first reaction MISS MAGNETIQ speaks from a mistake: “I am deeply sorry. I will try to control myself better in future so this won’t happen again. I love Linz but to live within that much steel is really hard for me. How does one say: ‘A sin is the magnet ston’ which brings to us the iron.”

September 2014 ///
Linz ///

The world needs new <del>heroes</del>. <del>Heroines</del>. Superheroines. Linz too …

Born in Linz she is so manifold and contradictory as a postmodern identity has to be: positive and negative at the same time, hyperphobic, ironic, animal loving, chaotic, aggro and sensitive, magnetizing and always ready not only to attract things but also to kick them away. A superheroine as torn as the city from which she comes. Pure Trash.

As deconstructivist and poststructuralist, MISS MAGNETIQ goes forth with the battle scream “Gender Trouble!” to explore the physical phenomenon of magnetism, theoretically and practically in therefore designed experimental arrangements and in the open orbit.

Do magnetic fields have an influence on cows? Why are the forces of the city guards in Linz so repulsive? How to deal with the esoteric wonders of a free-energy machine? Is it true that the Pöstlingberg is a magnetic hill and a car can go uphill backwards? Why paying attention to the lethal danger of killer-magnets? Is it possible to realize the dream of floating with a simple copper tube and trusting Lenz’s law? Are magnetiq super-powers enough to fight against oversized magnetic putty monsters?

All these questions, and even more, will be answered by MISS MAGNETIQ. In the course of an artistic experimental series, the experiences of MISS MAGNETQ are going to be radiated into Maxwell’s ether.
